Jimmy Carter has never been considered a great president by anyone, not even Democrats. He led the American economy straight into the crapper, among other disasters. However, most people, even Republicans, have always admired him as a person. He has always seemed to me to be a very decent man with a strong, moral compass. He is widely praised for his charitable work with Habitat for Humanity, along with other organizations. Tonight, however, I have lost that perception of him.
