Entry: Interesting Argument

Enviropundit follows an Interesting Argument:

There is an interesting debate going on between two bloggers, Steven DenBeste at the USS Clueless and the Engineer-Poet at The Ergosphere.

DenBeste's argument is that it is impossible to achieve any meaningful energy reductions in this country without first changing the laws of thermodynamics and the universal electrical constant. Everything that can be done has been done already. E-P's first counter is that there are several promising power-producing technologies coming down the pipe which will increase the efficiency of plants. His second is that there are many instances of waste in the country, including corn-based biofuels and incandescent lamps.

Although I agree with DenBeste on just about everything else on his site, I have to disagree with him on this, along with E-P.
